Community Projects

The Pickleball Association of Twin Falls has contributed to many projects that are of benefit to both Pickleball and the community at large. With the support of our club members, we have been able to help improve the family environment of this wonderful place we call home.

PBATF has been working closely with the Twin Falls Park and Recreation department in accessing what the needs of the community are, especially at Frontier Park, and how the club may assist with them.

While we have made great strides in this area, there is always more to do!

Some of the projects we have been involved in are;

Court Lights

PBATF raised money to pay for lighting at the original 6 pickleball courts for night play. In September 2022, an additional 6 courts were completed which were very much needed with the popularity of pickleball. We plan to add lighting to those courts also when possible.

Park Benches

The club purchased and placed benches near the original pickleball courts. In 2023 we assisted the City of Twin Falls in purchasing 4 additional park benches for Frontier Park to be placed between the new courts.

Restroom Remodel

Along with other groups that use the park facilities, the pickleball association has contributed to the restroom remodel project that is underway. We are proud that our club has been able to contribute $5,000 toward the project to date.

Ball Machine

The Pickleball Association purchased a ball machine for training and practice. Use of the machine is free for members and can be used for lessons and clinics.

Indoor Courts

While we don’t yet have a permanent location for indoor courts, PBATF has made arrangements to rent locations to play indoors in inclement weather and winter so players can stay in shape and play year-round!

Paddles for Schools

PBATF members contributed paddles to assist schools with programs. Members have been known to generously contribute their time to help kids get started with pickleball, a fun sport for life!
